About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Company Accountant to take ownership of all financial activities for a growing, small business. This role is ideal for an AAT-qualified professional (or equivalent) who thrives on variety and enjoys being hands-on in all aspects of finance.
As the sole finance professional within the business, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations, providing insightful reports, and supporting the company's growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
* Accounts Management: Oversee sales and purchase ledgers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Payroll & Pensions: Handle payroll processing and manage pension contributions.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare year-end accounts, management accounts, and ad hoc reports for directors.
* Cost Analysis: Support costing models and assess profitability to aid strategic decision-making.
* Compliance & Accuracy: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
What We're Looking For
* AAT qualification (or equivalent) with solid experience in an all-round accounting role.
* Proficiency in managing all aspects of accounts, from ledgers to year-end reporting.
* Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
* A proactive and adaptable approach, comfortable working independently.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with directors and team members.
