Job Description
Our client, Bruntons Aero Products, a renowned manufacturer of machined components and mechanical cable assemblies, is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join their innovative team in Musselburgh
You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective planning of materials and resources to meet production schedule. This role is critical for ensuring a smooth flow within the supply chain.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and execute supply chain planning processes to support production requirements. This includes data entry from planning processes onto job cards.
Utilise systems to plan, schedule, and manage materials effectively.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or supply chain constraints.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes.
Prepare reports and updates on production status, addressing any issues that could impact deadlines.
Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure compliant with manufacturing standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in supply chain planning within an engineering or heavy manufacturing environment.
Ability to understand engineering drawings would be extremely advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast demand and manage inventory.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, as well as advanced MS Excel skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
