Commercial Gas Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £50,000 + per annum
Hours: 8:00 – 16:30
The Role
To work individually or as part of a team to undertake high quality domestic and commercial plumbing installations, repairs and maintenance to all property types
To undertake repairs and fault finding to domestic and commercial mechanical/plumbing systems and appliances.
To undertake minor cross trade work to support the service customers expect.
1st & 2nd fix
Testing & Commissioning
To liaise with customers and subcontractors to provide a responsive service.
To undertake a continual program of risk assessment in relation to your role.
To utilise both electronic and paper-based systems to accurately record the use of labour and materials against each job.
Assist on the call out rota
Personal responsibilities:
To present a professional image at all times, both in the office and to clients and be a ‘role model’ for less senior staff.
To be willing to work in excess of usual working hours when the balance of the company’s work or allocated responsibilities requires this. They do not expect excessive working hours, rather they require flexibility when there is a clear benefit to the company
To understand the consequences of your actions for the company and to actively share responsibility with the directors for the success of the company.

Team Responsibilities:
Be aware of basic employment and health and safety law
Provide appropriate levels of coaching, development and support to the apprentices
Deal with the difficult issues, fairly and effectively
Provide encouragement to take ownership of work and contribute to making decisions
Provide encouragement to input ideas and constructively challenge decisions made

Skills and Qualifications
Time served / NVQ3 or equivalent gas and plumbing qualification
Good understanding of Commercial Heating Systems
ACS gas qualification elements CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, HTR1, CCN1, CEN1, COCN1, CCCN1, CIGA1, CDGA, CIGA, COMCAT
Experience on working on a large commercial boiler
Experience on commercial catering gas
Unvented training (Building Regulations G3) or willing to work towards
Confined Spaces Training or willing to work towards
Safe Isolation Training or willing to work towards
Multimeter Training or willing to work towards
Current CSCS Card or willing to work towards
Full driving licence
