Job Description
Techniche Global is supporting an engineering defence company in appointing an Apprenticeship Coach for their Training and Apprenticeship services contract with the MOD in Lyneham, in Wiltshire.
You’ll contribute towards the achievement of apprenticeship program targets through the delivering, assessing and/or monitoring Standards. You’ll also monitor learners through their training program in the Field Army.
Key Responsibilities of the Apprenticeship Coach:
Meet Key Performance Indicators, schedule visits, and complete required documentation.
Support, motivate, and coach apprentices to complete all program components on time, meeting organizational and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and review learner progress per customer expectations.
Manage learner sign-up, induction, and compliance with company, ESFA, Ofsted, and Army SOPs.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation completion.
Guide learners in portfolio building and ensure progress tracking aligns with reporting processes.
Deliver industry-specific teaching and learning sessions as needed.
Conduct assessments in compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide tailored support, advice, and feedback to help learners achieve their potential.
Prepare learners for End Point Assessments, encouraging high-grade achievement.
Collaborate with internal teams for quality and compliance.
Maintain Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and share innovative ideas.
Follow all policies regarding safety, equality, and safeguarding.
Support corporate governance policies and complete additional tasks as required.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (or equivalent)
Award/Certificate in Education and Training (or equivalent)
Maths and English – GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent)
Relevant Mechanical engineering qualification to level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
Highly organized with effective planning, time management, and resource management skills.
Strong relationship-building abilities and a proven history of achieving performance targets.
Consistent track record of delivering results through strategic planning and execution. Experience Required:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant industry environment
Strong understanding of work-based learning programmes
Previous experience in the defence sector, ideally within the Army context. Due to the nature of the business, a successful candidate will need to obtain SC (Security Clearance) check.
