Are you a Technical Coordinator currently seeking a new opportunity with a UK leading developer? About the role of Technical Coordinator
Deliver the product design function within the business, working with the product development teams, adopting the company philosophy and business ethos of: challenging standards, thinking outside the box, innovating design, valuing people and facilitating alternative solutions to achieve the best product design solutions.
Motivate and facilitate external consultants in delivering the design of a project holistically translating the scheme from inception through conception to completion into a cost effective and practical solution in line with the Company's standards and reputation.
Use the technical systems procedures to manage the quality and financial aspects of all projects and assist in delivery of appropriate reports to the Technical Manager on a diarised basis.
Identify opportunities for improving buildability and adding value to the design product through creating an environment for successful design delivery.
Comment effectively on contractor's design where designers package are adopted as part of a contract package.Responsibilities of Technical Coordinator
Providing appropriate support on each project to the Technical Manager.
Contract management and design delivery through appointment and fee management.
Problem solving through provision of alternative design solutions.
Providing feedback to contractors and consultants on matters of design and specification.
Product and market research and development.
Contributing to the quality and financial management of the Company.Requirements for the Technical Coordinator
Relevant professional qualification to either Degree, HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5.
Chartered Membership of a recognised Professional body e.g. RICS, CIOB, CIAT, RIBA etc.
A pro-active management style with capability to manage and coordinate the design team on challenging sites.
Effective people management of direct reports, giving feedback, direction, support, and coaching.
Skills including assertiveness, being decisive, flexible, good time management, organised, effective at chairing / participating in meetings, works well under pressure and to strict deadlines.Whats on offer for a Technical Coordinator
