Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary/Grade: Scale 3 (Term Time Only)

About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will:
Promote Positive Behaviour: Manage and maintain good student conduct throughout the school.
Building Patrol: Ensure students are in class and escort them as needed.
Supervise Key Times: Oversee breaktime, lunchtime, and dismissal to ensure health and safety requirements are met.
Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks and maintain accurate behavior records.
First Aid Support: Act as a First Aider when required.
Exclusion Room Management: Support the operation and management of the school’s Exclusion Room.
Duties and Responsibilities
Morning Sessions: Patrol the school to ensure punctual class attendance, supervise transitions, and monitor key areas.
Lunchtimes: Supervise student exit and re-entry, monitor playgrounds, and run detentions.
Afternoon Sessions: Collect passes, patrol the building, and facilitate smooth lesson changes.
After School: Assist with dismissal, maintain front-door security, and manage late detentions.
What We Are Looking For
Ability to relate to young people in a firm but friendly and calm manner.
Strong authority and communication skills to ensure students reach lessons on time.
A commitment to equality, valuing the diverse cultures represented in the school.
GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths at Level 2 (essential).
Experience with or willingness to learn First Aid skills.
Professional, resourceful, and adaptable under pressure.
A positive attitude and commitment to personal and professional development.
