Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) is one of the UK's foremost independent forgers, specializing in the aerospace and industrial sectors. What sets IFA apart is its unique capability to deliver both open-die and closed-die forging, while managing the entire production process from raw material to finished product at a single location.
Operating from a 680,000 sq. ft. facility in Hillsborough, Sheffield, IFA manufactures high integrity forged components in nickel alloys, titanium, stainless steel, and carbon alloys. IFA's clients include tier-one suppliers across aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine, and oil and gas sectors, who depend on IFA for precision, reliability, and top-tier quality.

Do you have a passion for data analysis and process improvement? Independent Forgings and Alloys are now looking to recruit several Manufacturing Engineers to join a team focused on analysing production data to identify ways to improve quality and delivery. You will collaborate with the wider production team to implement improvement initiatives, leveraging your continuous improvement and lean expertise.
Whilst one day will never be the same as the next, a typical day might include;
Analysing yesterday's production data with the view of improving quality or delivery tomorrow.
Coordinate and lead Continuous Improvement activities and introduce and refine routing, work instructions, and production documentation.
Working with the production team on improvement ideas using your Lean and continuous improvement skills.
Drafting a report or putting together a presentation showing the savings your team have made so far.
What do you need to succeed at IFA?
Career experience within a Manufacturing, Heavy Process, CNC or similar environment.
Qualified to HNC, HND or similar Qualifications, a Six Sigma Green belt would be advantageous.
You will have a proven track record in delivering Lean or Cost Down improvement projects.
Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the business.
What we offer?
Permanent position with a starting salary between £35,000 to £45,000.
Monday to Friday, Days Based with come working flexibility.
