PERMANENT - £28,000 -£31,000 (depending on experience and location) - REMOTE/ HYBRID
Our client is a one-stop-shop supplier of disabled student allowance computer equipment and software, assistive technology training, and ergonomic working solutions. With over 45 years of experience they remain constantly aware of customers' requirements and flexible to their varying needs.
The company's focus on disabled computer users allows them to provide exceptional service and constantly improve their offerings. All staff receive training in both assistive technology and disability awareness to better serve their customer base.
We are seeking a full-time Assistive Technology Trainer responsible for providing training and support to individuals with disabilities in using assistive technology devices and software.
This is a remote/ hybrid role, with a preference for candidates located in Manchester, Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff and London though other locations will also be considered. The position primarily involves remote training, conducted either from our offices or from home, but will include in-person training as needed. Therefore, a valid driving licence with no more than 3 points is required.
The successful candidate will work with various stakeholders to analyse user needs, develop individualized training plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure effective use of assistive technology. This role guarantees results with an intuitive CRM system.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with individuals with disabilities to understand and address their unique needs.
Utilise and demonstrate proficiency with a wide range of assistive technology devices to support diverse abilities and needs.
Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical individuals through excellent verbal and written skills.
Work independently and proactively to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Utilise remote support software and tools effectively to provide training and support.
Maintain CPD certification in Assistive Technology software, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in providing assistive technology training and support.
Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with disabilities and understanding their unique needs
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with a wide range of assistive technology devices for individuals with diverse abilities and needs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in explaining technical concepts to non-technical individuals clearly and concisely
Ability to work independently and proactively, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with remote support software and tools
Windows and/or Mac experience
