We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to oversee all of the department’s operations, which is staffed by skilled mechanics, machinists, and helpers.

*Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities*

*Supervision and Leadership:*



* Lead a team of mechanical technicians and oversee their daily activities to ensure efficient and safe operations.


*Maintenance and Repair:*



* Coordinate and execute mechanical maintenance and repair activities on various maritime vessels, including propulsion systems, engines, pumps, and auxiliary equipment


*Quality Assurance:*



* Ensure all mechanical work meets industry standards, specifications, and client requirements.


*Safety and Compliance:*



* Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.


*Training and Development:*



* *T*rain new technicians and provide ongoing guidance and mentorship to improve team performance and skill levels.


*Inventory and Resource Management:*



* Manage inventory levels of spare parts and equipment. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of required materials.


*Mechanical Supervisor Position Requirements*



* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

* 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, preferably in the maritime industry.

* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including diesel engines, pumps, hydraulics, and HVAC systems.

* Familiarity with ship repair processes is highly advantageous.

* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues effectively and efficiently.
