Job Description

Ekman Associates is a management consulting firm that specializes in developing business, digital, and technology strategy, delivering solutions, and addressing human resource demands.

Summary:
The Project Manager - IT Security & Compliance position is a hands-on position, responsible for performing IT compliance projects as part of the company's cyber-security program and the global CMMC program. This includes documenting security policy & procedures and process flows.

Responsibilities:
  • Documenting Security policies and procedures.
  • Analyzing various frameworks and creating process flows.
  • Assist with various compliance efforts and adherence to documented policies and procedures including SOX 404, NIST, CMMC, and SOC2.
  • Assist with the implementation of Governance, Risk, and Compliance program.
  • Document compliance findings and provided recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform compliance monitoring to identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • Review vendor attestations/compliance reports to identify key security issues.
  • Assist with defining, developing, and implementing new security controls.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information System or related fields (or equivalent experience).
  • CISA required.
  • CISM, CMMC RP, CISSP desired.
  • Understanding of various frameworks.
  • Understanding of IT audit procedures, techniques, and internal control concepts.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities with minimum supervision.
  • A demonstrated understanding of information security systems (Oracle, Linux, Windows).
  • Basic understanding of common technologies/platforms such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, Cisco IOS, Palo Alto firewalls, and WAFs.
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks/standards such as SOX 404, NIST, CMMC, SOC2.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience with common computer forensic reporting tools (vulnerability scans, antivirus, GRC tools.
  • Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and follow up skills.
