About the job Engagement Director

POSITION SUMMARY

The Engagement Directorstrategically and tactically owns an engagement from start to finish. This position is the most senior resource who is fully allocated to a particular client assignment. This individual is responsible for managing the client relationship and serving as both inspiration and the motivator to the internal team and the client team. The Engagement Director has accountability to successfully deliver measurable financial benefit against aggressive targets in a fast-paced environment, ensure timely completion of tasks, and deliver the associated engagement initiatives within a predetermined timeframe and budget. The Engagement Director is responsible to meet Maine Pointes commitments to clients, including delivering measurable cash and EBITDA, as well as meeting client expectations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Manage engagement to deliver savings at or above target, on time, on budget while ensuring client satisfaction. 2. Execute Maine Pointe engagement processes (Examples include detailed work plan, 8-week launch, engagement governance, structured internal and client reviews, etc.) in accordance with MP methodology (Engagement Manual). 3. Establish and build collaborative working relationship with main client executive(s), Engagement coordinator and other client personnel to ensure ongoing alignment, effective communication, timely execution of tasks and deliverables, on-time payment of scheduled invoices, savings sign offs, and end of engagement letter of recommendation and client reference. 4. Lead and manage engagement team to deliver against work stream plans through clear goal/expectations setting, regular communication, management of process, team training and mentoring as needed and demonstration of MP values. 5. Provide regular coaching and feedback to team members to continuously develop skills/capabilities and create high performance. 6. Identify More Work opportunities and work with Directorship to sell and deliver on these opportunities

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION Bachelors degree in management, supply chain, engineering, logistics, operations management, business or relevant field. Advanced degree preferred. PMP Certification a plus. 5-7 years of project management experience leading consulting or business transformation projects. Proven success leading change within strictly managed budgets and timelines with trackable financial results. Prior work experience in an implementation consulting firm preferred. At least ten years of supply chain, procurement, or operations management experience strongly preferred. A clear broad based understanding of business functions and how each is impacted by and serves specialty.

Procurement Background in the sourcing and procurement of raw materials and/or finished goods Commodity Market Knowledge Experience with traditional purchasing processes is strongly preferred

Logistics Background in multiple modes of transportation Understanding of current market dynamics and thus strategy Knowledge of preferred ports of call in China and throughout Asia Understanding of interprovincial inland shipping dynamics and domestic drayage

Operations 5 years+ in Operations/Manufacturing and/or plant management Lean/Six Sigma, PMP or APICS certification a plus

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY Directly supervises engagement team of typically 3-10 as well as indirectly supervising client team, during the course of the engagement.

OTHER COMMENTS/REQUIREMENTS Willingness to travel extensively, up to 100%. Some international travel on an assignment by assignment basis. Strong PC skills-Microsoft office suite
