Skills Preferred: The candidate needs to possess advanced technical skills with the following: • Configuring and maintaining RMAN backups utilizing Database Cloud Service Console and EM/GRID Control • Cloning Databases using the Database Cloud Service Console • Performing database restores and recovery utilizing Database Cloud Service Console and OCI CLI • Recovering data through Table and Database Flashback • Implementation and ongoing support of high availability RAC architecture • Performing Database Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting utilizing EM/GRID Control • Performing SQL optimization utilizing EM/GRID Control • Proficient with troubleshooting and resolving performance issues on Exadata • Perform Oracle Database-Microsoft Active Directory Integration • Skilled with SQL and PL/SQL code reviews The candidate must also possess a high level of competence with the following soft skills: • Change management including maintenance of multiple development, test, QA, and production environments • Responsible for deploying approved changes to production • Work with development project teams to design and implement database solutions to meet business requirements • Develop and implement Database security policies and procedures in line with applicable governance • Ability to work and coordinate with teams of diverse domain disciplines. (e.g. finance, healthcare, security, network operations, system admins.) • Developing in-house custom installation and configuration guides

Experience Preferred: • 5 years experience installing, configuring and maintaining EM/GRID Control • 10 Years experience with Oracle RDBMS • 10 years experience performing Backup and Recovery with RMAN • 10 years experience with LINUX • 10 years experience with partitioning • 5 Years experience utilizing EM/GRID Control to troubleshoot database performance issues and optimize SQL • 3 years experience with Oracle Exadata • Experience with Oracle 19c RDBMS • Experience managing databases in Oracle Cloud (OCI) • Experience with Data Lifecycle Management

Additional Information: Position Description: The Database Administrator Consultant will serve as an active hands-on member of the Database Administrator (DBA) team. The DBA team is responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of the OCI Hosted Oracle Enterprise Farm, including, but not limited to, designing, planning, coordinating, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting the database environment. The Oracle Farm supports over 15 databases up to 25TB in size that are 24/7/365 therefore must be willing to provide support as needed after hours, on weekends and holidays. The position is a hybrid work environment, partly in the physical workplace, and partly remotely. The physical office location is Downtown Los Angeles, CA. A live scan is required for this position.
