Job Summary:

This role manages the sales of company's products and services within a defined database. Ensures consistent profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning and deployment of strategies. Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short-term and long-term sales and earnings.

What you will do:

  • Using multiple means, prospect new business, manage inbound customer inquiries, and grow existing business in order to generate sales. Document information gathered from customers in the CRM system. Meet sales metric requirements, financial goals and corporate objectives.
  • Perform sales activities on major accounts, negotiates sale price and discounts. Provide Technical consultation. Create and execute long-term and short term strategy. Be responsible for growth of new accounts as well as focus on maintaining existing accounts. Work with current customers and prospects to meet desired sales and service needs.
  • Participate in plant visits to gather samples, observe instruments, and obtain information and analyze/ interpret results and report any corrective actions to the customer. Outline, present and sell the value of products and services that can benefit customer needs. Conduct required training of Customer operating personnel to ensure their understanding of the parameters under which their equipment operates.
  • Ability to create opportunities, understand customer drivers, negotiate and close orders. Ability to value sell in a price competitive industry.
  • Accurately forecasts monthly, quarterly and annual revenue stream. Implements specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all product categories consistent with Menardi's goals and overall strategy.
  • Mentor's Regional Managers, trains in the field and office-sales (best practices) and technical (Industry knowledge). Plan-conduct trainings for internal sales team.
  • Travel up to 75% of the time, complete all visit reports on time and all documentation. Travel at or under budget, travel smart with adequate planning.
  • Strategy reviewed with Management at beginning of each forecast year. Implementation of strategy is more independent than that of a Regional Manager.
  • Selling on market price (not GM) for your Region based on your experience and knowledge of competition and customer-Regional and Global.
  • Help develop procedures for quicker sales, paperwork, quick reference sheets, etc for Sales team.
  • Plan to develop into Menardi SME / representative for Menardi for a given industry. Sit on board of trade associations for those Industry's we service.
  • Technical acumen exceeds that of a Regional Manager, less reliance on Technical "in the field" assistance for sales calls.
We believe you have:

Your Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of technical sales experience in aftermarket sales. Experience in industrial applications required.
