Senior UX Designer

About the job : Client is seeking a talented and experienced UX Designer II to join our team. As a UX Designer II, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and design of our products. You will take ownership of a part of the product and the overall design process, demonstrating your expertise in UX design and your ability to work independently. You must be okay with coming up with several ideas, and failing fast. In addition, you will mentor and guide interns, fostering their growth and : - Take ownership of a specific part of the product and contribute to the overall design process. - Conduct thorough UX research to gather insights, validate ideas, and experiment with different design approaches. - Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders throughout the design process to deliver exceptional user experiences. - Uphold and inspire a high level of design execution within the team, setting a standard for quality and attention to detail. - Establish and maintain UX guidelines and design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across the product. - Effectively communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, actively incorporating feedback to iterate and improve designs. - Create scalable ways to regularly integrate new features into the product. - Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design, and incorporate them into our design processes. - Mentor and guide interns, providing support and guidance to help them thrive in their roles. - Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration and understanding among cross-functional teams. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of the design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across our products. - Peer review designs going out in other areas of the platform. Candidate Profile : - Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Requires a minimum of 4 years of related or equivalent experience as a Design practitioner. - Proven experience as a UX Designer or similar role, with a focus on end-to-end UX design and delivering successful products. - Strong portfolio showcasing your design expertise and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency with industry-standard design tools and software. - Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices. - Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and incorporating insights into the design process. - Knowledge of design systems, including their creation and maintenance. - High level of initiative and a "make it work" ethos to successfully bring a product design from conception to launch with minimal supervision - Ability to thrive in startups with a fast-paced environment and take ownership for working through ambiguity - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
