Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS Infrastructure

Location : Remote Experience required : 5-8 years Key skills : AWS, CI/CD-Jenkins/ GitLab, Docker, ECS Fargate, EC2, Terraform/ CloudFormation We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in developing and delivering enterprise software applications using public cloud providers like AWS. They will also be well-versed in CI/CD processes, automation, and configuration management tools. Responsibilities : - Lead and manage complex AWS infrastructure using ECS, Fargate, EC2, Redshift, RDS, and DMS in production environment - Design and optimize Fargate tasks for serverless container deployments with autoscaling - Handle end-to-end Docker containerization and deployment on AWS ECS/Fargate with high availability setups - Set up cost-effective task execution strategies using mix of Fargate and EC2 launch types - Design scalable ECS task definitions and optimize resource utilization for cost efficiency - Build robust CI/CD pipelines with zero-downtime deployments using blue-green strategy - Set up automated rollback mechanisms for failed deployments - Create and maintain large-scale data pipelines using AWS DMS for real-time data synchronization - Implement multi-region data replication and backup strategies for disaster recovery - Design comprehensive monitoring solutions using CloudWatch and ELK stack with custom dashboards - Set up advanced alerting in Opsgenie with proper escalation matrix - Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures for production issues - Implement AWS security best practices including encryption, VPC setup, and security groups - Handle AWS cost optimization and resource management for large teams Requirements : - Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with AWS services in production environment - Strong expertise in ECS Fargate and EC2 launch types with practical experience in both - Deep understanding of Fargate task networking, security, and resource configurations - Strong expertise in Docker containerization with multi-stage builds and optimization - Proven experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab in large-scale deployments - Advanced knowledge of blue-green and canary deployment strategies - Deep understanding of AWS networking, VPC, and security architecture - Expert level knowledge in setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems - Experience in mentoring junior DevOps engineers - Strong troubleshooting skills with production systems - Very Good understanding of microservices architecture - Experience in writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation Preferred Qualifications : - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is a plus - AWS certifications, such as Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer, are highly desirable About the Company : Pace Wisdom Solutions is a deep-tech Product engineering and consulting firm.
