Senior Developer - APICS

Job Description : The IBM Datapower & API Connect (APIC) specialist will work as a part of the Application Solutions team and will be responsible for enhancing, managing, and administering the IBM API Connect platform for client-facing services. The role requires expertise in API Connect Design and Architecture on premises and/or cloud. The successful candidate will work interactively with customers and other stakeholders to deliver effective products and solutions on-time. Roles & Responsibilities : - Design, develop, document, and test SOAP, RESTful APIs using JavaScript, Node.JS, XML, and JSON. - Create API's using IBM Data power and API connect. - Integrating 3rd party backends, federating the APIS on Gateway. - Expose the APIS on gateway based on consumer requirement. - Work directly with external customers and interface with other internal and external support teams and vendors to understand business objectives and ensure that solutions are meeting the required objectives. - Provide technical support in troubleshooting and debugging issues related to API Connect. - Research and evaluate new API Management frameworks and technologies as needed. - Monitor the performance of APIs and address any issues in a timely manner. - Analyze the security and scalability of existing APIs. - Develop scalable, robust and cost-effective solutions across multiple platforms. - Experience in installation, configuration, deployment, administration and maintenance of IBM APIC - Experience in setup of IBM API Connect on containers and on Cloud will be an added advantage. - Monitor the health of the IBM API Connect environment to ensure performance and availability SLAs are met. - Maintain a DevOps pipeline for building and deploying OpenAPI - Configure the security of the IBM API Connect product using TLS Profiles and other mechanisms like OAuth to ensure a secure operating environment. - Configure the routing logics at gateway.
