Node.js Lead - Server Side Applications

As a Node.js Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of our backend services and ensuring the technical excellence of the solutions delivered. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of Node.js, and experience in building scalable, high-performance applications. Key Responsibilities : - Lead the development team in the design, development, and deployment of server-side applications using Node.js. - Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. - Architect and develop scalable APIs and microservices that support business needs. - Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring best coding practices, code reviews, and high-quality software delivery. - Optimize performance and scalability of the platform by monitoring application performance and implementing improvements. - Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure seamless operations. - Mentor and manage junior developers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Collaborate with stakeholders including product managers, designers, and DevOps teams to align technical solutions with business objectives. - Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development. Required Skills and Experience : - 5 years of hands-on experience with Node.js and backend development. - Expertise in building RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and microservices architecture. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. - Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. - Familiarity with front-end technologies like React.js or Angular is a plus. - Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerization technologies like Docker. - Proficiency in testing frameworks like Mocha, Jest, or Chai. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Proven experience leading and mentoring teams of developers. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
