Senior Backend Developer - Node.js Framework

About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Sr. Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems using Node.js. You will play a critical role in building high-performance, reliable, and secure applications that power our business. Key Responsibilities : Backend Development : - Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and related frameworks (Express.js, Koa.js, etc.) - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices. - Develop RESTful APIs to expose data and functionality to frontend applications. - Implement data access and persistence layers using various databases (SQL, NoSQL). - Optimize application performance and scalability. Problem-Solving : - Identify and troubleshoot issues in complex systems. - Implement effective debugging and logging strategies. - Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaboration : - Collaborate with frontend developers, UX designers, and other team members to deliver high-quality products. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. - Mentor junior developers and share knowledge. Staying Updated : - Stay up-to-date with the latest Node.js and JavaScript trends. - Research and adopt new technologies and tools to improve development efficiency. Required Skills and Experience : - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, ES6, and Node.js. - Deep understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture. - Experience with RESTful API design and development. - Proficiency in database technologies (SQL, NoSQL). - Knowledge of data structures and algorithms. - Experience with version control systems (Git). - Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills : - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). - Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Chai). - Understanding of security best practices. - Contributions to open-source projects (ref:hirist.tech)
