Embedded Linux Development Engineer - Kernel/Device Driver

Job Description : As an Embedded Linux Development Engineer, you will focus on developing, maintaining, and enhancing embedded Linux drivers and kernel modules. This role requires strong expertise in embedded Linux, driver development, and related technologies, with a specific focus on building efficient, stable, and scalable solutions for our client's product lines. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and test Linux kernel modules and device drivers. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Work on performance optimization, system debugging, and resolution of kernel-related issues. - Contribute to the design of power management and system-to-RAM features. - Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality software delivery. - Interface with the open-source community to contribute and manage source code repositories. Mandatory Skills : - 6 years of experience in embedded Linux driver and kernel development. - Proficiency in C programming and Linux kernel internals. - Expertise in at least one of the following driver domains : 1. Graphics: DRM/KMS, OpenGL, Vulkan, OpenCL, Mesa. 2. Multimedia-Video: Vaapi, vdpau, gstreamer, v4l2. 3. Power Management: System-to-RAM, S0ix3. 4. Display Drivers: X, Wayland, Weston. 5. Audio: ALSA ASoC, audio protocols (I2S/TDM). - Ethernet/Network Drivers. - Proficient in Yocto development. - Experience with virtualization technologies like Xen, KVM, or QNX Hypervisor. - Experience with Inter-Process Communication (IPC) and Direct Memory Access (DMA) driver development. Preferred Skills : - Hands-on experience with kernel mode driver programming. - Experience contributing to Linux community or open-source projects. - Strong debugging skills with system-level knowledge - (ref:hirist.tech)
