Job Description

Project Description : Our client is a UK subsidiary of a global financial house working in multiple markets and asset classes. Multiple Luxoft teams (140 people) are involved in development and support of a range of client applications. We are looking for an experienced L2/L3 Technical Support Engineer to join a Luxoft BAU team supporting a range of client back office applications. Technologies used : Java/J2EE, JMS/JFS, MySQL, Unix Shell/Windows Batch/Perl, MQ, Control-M, Jira/Confluence, EJB, Spring Framework, Camel, Hibernate, JPA. Opportunities : Rapidly growing team with opportunities for working directly with business users, expanding technical and capital markets knowledge, and developing consultancy / soft skills. Working along with highly professional and experienced engineers gives opportunity for learning new and farther development of technical skills. Currently, the team operates fully in WFH mode. Working from Poland (mostly) Luxoft office is possible upon request. Responsibilities : - Communicating with client on user issues raised in JIRA. - Provide fix to the issues reported in JIRAs related to the applications used for Collateralization, Settlement, Reconciliation, SWIFT instructions processing. - Test the changes done on UAT/non-PROD env. - Create a release pack for PROD support team deployment into PROD. - SQL writing, enhancements, Stored Procedures reading/writing. - Work with Control-M jobs (creation/amendment). - Work on system migrations/upgrades with further testing and heading the release process. - Drive the meeting related to the changes/migrations/upgrades. Mandatory Skills Description : - At least 3 years of SL3 Support experience. - At least 2 years of experience with SQL. - Experience with Java. - Previous experience with Investment Banking/Capital Markets. - Strong SQL query writing skills. - Ability to communicate verbally with client in English : written/spoken -English on upper-intermediate level or higher. - Java skills on regular level, reading and understanding Java code. - Understanding common SDLC. - Investment Banking, Finance domain knowledge & working experience. - Adaptability multiple systems to work on. - Able to investigate independently, problem-solver. Nice-to-Have Skills Description : - Jira & confluence. - Batch monitoring tools such as Control-M. - Understanding of L3 Tech support function. - Ops / settlement collateral experience a plus.
