Position: Technical Officer - Marine Biology / Marine Engineering
Location: Southampton, UK - Hybrid
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Our client, a leading global company based in Southampton, is seeking a motivated Graduate in Marine Biology or Marine Engineering to join their team as a Technical Officer. This role offers an exceptional chance to join a world-renowned company, providing support to clients worldwide.
About the Role
As a Technical Officer, you'll work in a hybrid setup, spending 4 days in the office and 1 day working remotely. You'll play a key role in delivering technical support, product implementation, and training to clients in the marine sector. This role requires someone who is organised, proactive, and dedicated to upholding high standards of client service.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and execute client visits, including budgeting and costing.
Set up and install product dispensers and pumps on marine vessels and land-based units.
Respond to customer queries, conduct field investigations, and troubleshoot as needed.
Maintain organised files and ensure all visits are documented professionally.
Provide clients with documentation, training, and support in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure product installations and systems comply with maritime regulatory and safety guidelines.
Conduct risk assessments and maintain all Health & Safety requirements.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.Requirements
Graduate in Marine Biology or Marine Engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Creative problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel across Europe and globally
