One of the UK's leading providers of bespoke automation solutions & system integration services are now seeking a Project Manager to join their team in the West Midlands. Covering a variety of industries including Industrial, Medical, Automotive, Plastics & Aerospace
Project Manager – Automation Projects
£40,000 - £55,000 + Company Pension, 25 Holiday, Flexible Working
Projects ranging from £100k - £1.2M

Project Manager - The Role:
Management of Projects from kick-off to completion to ensure the machines and systems meet the specification outlined in the customer’s order, and are designed, built, and delivered on time, within budget, to meet the customer’s high expectation and are “Right First Time”
Lead, co-ordinate, and control projects through system which includes, Launch, Design, Procurement, Build, Development and Pass-Off while supporting Warranty, Service and After-Sales
Ensure project scope is fully understood and agreed
Plan, organise and manage meetings with the customer including design reviews
Manage the preparation of FMEA, hazard identification and risk assessments in conjunction with multiple departments
Generate project budget documents from base budget sales data and actively control the agreed budget, reporting any variances and expected cash flow
Ensure design changes arising at the shop floor stage are correctly controlled, authorised and recorded
Arrange and organise pre-production trials and customer pass off trials
Retain project ownership beyond the delivery phase into the warranty and after sales phase
Project Manager - The Person:
Preferable to be apprentice trained and/or hold suitable engineering qualifications ideally to degree standard or equivalent
Several years’ relevant experience in a project leader or management role
Be an excellent communicator
Possess strong leadership skills, while being assertive and supportive
Be an effective problem solver and pro-active in their work ethic
Have a “can do” positive attitude and be self-motivated

Located in the West Midlands, this role would be commutable from Birmingham, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Worcester, Coventry and surrounding areas
