Pathway Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Functional Skills Tutor to join our team. Role Overview
As a Functional Skills Tutor, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering effective learning experiences in English and Maths, tailored to meet each learner's unique needs. With a hybrid model combining online and in-group sessions, you'll have the flexibility to engage learners in ways that foster success and long-term skills development.
Key Responsibilities
* High-Quality Learning: Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that align with vocational programs and meet learner needs.
* Broad Functional Skills Delivery: Provide support in Functional Maths, English, and possibly employability skills.
* Maintain Standards: Adhere to the education inspection framework, with a goal of delivering outstanding results.
* Learner Engagement: Support learner progression through effective IAG, identifying next steps for further education or employment.
Requirements
* Teaching & Assessing Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 teaching qualification and an assessing qualification.
* Education: GCSEs (A*-C) in English, Maths, and IT or equivalent.
* Curriculum Knowledge: Competent in curriculum design, assessment, and up-to-date with the education inspection framework.
* Experience: Demonstrated experience in both one-to-one and group delivery, and ability to manage challenging priorities with flexibility.

* Commitment to Safeguarding: Dedicated to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
* Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle complex issues diplomatically.
* Problem-Solving Ability: Proven skills in analysing challenges and implementing workable solutions.
* Adaptability: Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate initiative.
* Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach across all levels.
* Mentorship: Capable of supporting and guiding learners through their educational journey.
