Seeking a Finance Assistant to join a growing Biotech company in Oxford. This is the perfect opportunity for a driven individual who wants to develop and progress!
The role will start with transactional responsibilities and include training to involve other month end and finance activities, including budgeting and stakeholder management.
Your new role
Processing supplier invoices, Chasing internal approvals and coding direction, Answer supplier queries and load into accounting software (Xero)Conduct weekly bank reconciliationsCreate bimonthly payments schedulesAssisting with the preparation of month-end journals, including accruals and prepaymentsAssisting with the monthly balance sheet reconciliationAssist in wider administrative dutiesWhat you'll need to succeed
- Strong computer skills - comfortable working with Microsoft Excel
- Must be AAT level 2 or degree equivalent
- Organised and a self-starter willing to work with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working in a small company environment where collaboration is key
- Take your own initiative and have the energy, ambition, and enthusiasm to grow and add value to the organisation.
- Ability to interact with peers and senior management confidentiality and assuredly, willing to challenge decisions and explanations as well as make suggestions of improvement to processes and decisions.
