Job Description
Our client is a £100m + turnover manufacturing and distribution business, rich in heritage and family owned for many generations.
The role:As Finance Business Partner you will be the face of Finance to the business. You will need to build relationships with departmental heads and other budget holders across the whole organisation. Your role will be to support them with the creation of their budgets and provide data analysis, interpretation and the financial information they need to meet the groups strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities include:Prepare departmental budgets and discuss with heads of department.Meeting regularly with budget holders to discuss results and actionsPreparation of forecasts with analysis and reporting of variances against budgetDevelop bespoke departmental reporting for key stakeholdersImplementation of financial analysis across the spectrum of finance including sales, stock, manufacturing, etc.Investigate drivers impacting the businesses KPIsImprove performance through analysis of costs and efficienciesProvide analytical support to other business functionsWork with the Financial Control team to deliver meaningful financial data in a timely mannerReviewing practices and procedures to promote continuous improvement and efficiency.Ad hoc analysis and business case appraisal
The right candidate will have:Experience of working ideally in a manufacturing or distribution businessDetailed knowledge of budgeting and forecastingDemonstrable ability to analyse and present complex dataCommercial acumen with ability to interpret financials into meaningful business outcomes.Good communication skills and experience of dealing with stakeholders both in and outside of Finance.The ability to drive continuous improvement of processes and procedures.Strong excel skills and ideally knowledge of SAGE 200Be a confident user of business management and intelligence systems
