Job Description

We are an experienced firm of chartered accountants based in Edinburgh, but were not your average collar-and-tie people. We are currently looking for someone new to join our existing payroll team as a full-time payroll supervisor working 35 hours per week, however, we will also be considering part-time applications.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting the rest of the payroll team
  • Processing client payrolls
  • Processing CIS liabilities for clients
  • Setting up payroll payments on behalf of clients
  • Complying with auto-enrolment rules
  • Completing P11ds
  • Meeting client expectations in terms of accuracy and timescales for delivery of work
  • Being responsive to client needs

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Previous payroll experience
  • Experience of Brightpay software is preferable, however, not essential
  • A positive attitude/team spirit
  • A professional, respectful, and friendly manner
  • Ability to build and develop client relationships
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong excel skills

  • Flexible working subject to core hours (9am until 3pm Monday to Thursday, no core hours on a Friday)
