IT Support Systems Administrator
Location: Telford (Stafford Park)
Vivactive Limited, winners of the best online business in Shropshire award, seek an exceptional person to join our team. The company is undergoing an ambitious growth plan and is looking to recruit a Systems Administrator (Sys Admin) to join our office in Telford.As a successful candidate, you will manage and maintain the IT network at Vivactive, handle day-to-day endpoint queries and builds, and complete project work to upgrade and improve our internal services and processes. As a rapidly expanding business, you will join the team at an exciting time as we roll out our ambitious plans to internationalise. Recognised as an award-winning company with outstanding people and an entrepreneurial environment, the ideal candidate will enjoy the buzz of being part of a market-leading business with exceptional people.Key Responsibilities will include:Performing daily monitoring checks; verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, network and server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs, including backupsMaintain and administer the computer networks and related computing environment, including hardware, systems software, application software, administrative tools and utilities, and all configurations, including the installation and management of operating systems, patches and upgrades regularlySupport and lead projects and solution provision, following through until implementationPerform regular security monitoring to identify intrusions and implement appropriate security measures at a network and server levelSetup backup and replication jobs, verify success and conduct regular testingManage our security, PCI and GDPR compliance requirementsKeep company knowledge base up to date and document all new workProvide support for ad-hoc tasks to support the needs of the businessThe Ideal CandidateThe key skills and attributes are:Strong networking knowledgeProactive in ways of workingExperience in active directory and group policy managementWindows and macOS setup, configuration, management and troubleshootingExperience with Microsoft Intune, Azure, ZTNA and modern workplace would be idealExperience with anti-virus and RMM solutionsG suite administration would be desirableProven planning and organisational skillsExperience in working with third parties and managing MSP relationships
