Job Description
JRRL are seeking someone with a passion for textiles for their client - a local company creating handmade curtains and roman blinds. Due to the continuing expansion, our client is now looking to hire a Textiles professional, working on site and supporting in running a busy team of 6 sewing staff.
Full time - Monday to Friday 7.30am till 3pm
Responsible for various key tasks, including:
* Overseeing a team of 6 sewing staff (3 full-time and 3 part-time) to ensure efficient workflow.
* Managing quality control processes to maintain high standards for completed items.
* Handling manufacturing queries from both staff and clients.
* Co-ordinating client and supplier communications.
* Taking responsibility for ordering materials to ensure seamless workroom operations.
* Scheduling and managing staff rotas.
* Handling invoicing and ensuring timely payment.
* Using pricing software to accurately price jobs.
Person specification:
* Must have a love of fabrics.
* Ideally someone that has experience of making curtains or blinds.
* Sewing experience.
* Management experience preferred.
* Confident with administration tasks such as invoicing and scheduling of staff rotas.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the confidence to speak to clients.
* Confident with quality control and raising issues around this.
