The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Welder to join our client's team in Derbyshire. In this role, you will have the chance to showcase your welding expertise on premier engineering rolling stock projects. both workshop based in Derby and off site across UK (travel and accommodation paid)
Key Responsibilities
MIG/MAG/TIG/MMA - test bars on interview/Weld test
Interpretation of technical design drawings and specifications
Carry out general welding duties using a variety of welding methods
Ensure that safety standards are adhered to at all times
Undertake regular maintenance of welding equipment
Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard.
Requirements
Proven experience as a welder with a good understanding of welding machinery and electrical equipment
Sound knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (provided)
Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings
Good communication and team working skills
Attention to detail and good manual dexterity. Who we are looking for...
Competent welders who want to take their welding to the next level.
Experience in MAG welding.
Experience of welding at thicknesses between 2 and 4mm.
Bench welding experience.
Team player that wants to develop within a company setting.
Someone who enjoys the challenge & variety of working all around the UK.
Happy to work on a rotational basis away from Derby.

Pay rate of £16.76 per hour.
