Partner Financial is collaborating with a prominent PE backed retail business boasting a turnover of approximately £1 billion. The Group is currently experiencing an exhilarating phase of growth, driven by ambitious expansion plans and acquisitions across the UK and Europe. Their strategic approach is poised to position the brand at the forefront of its market, setting it apart from key competitors.


In this role, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the next phase of the business's growth. You will support the organization in realizing its strategic objectives through insightful, value-added analysis and proactive commercial challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the analysis of business performance, driving the execution of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term planning.
  • Assessing and identifying key risks and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on growth prospects.
  • Coordinating cross-functional processes and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the collection of accurate and comprehensive data across all relevant areas.
  • Delivering in-depth commercial analysis to inform both tactical and strategic decision-making, including evaluations to support capital investment and appraisal projects.
  • Partnering with senior leadership teams to ensure alignment of monthly functional reviews with KPIs, delivering financial insights to Group and local leadership with clarity and precision.
  • Overseeing journal entries and balance sheet reviews, providing insightful monthly variance analysis and actionable commentary for improved financial transparency and performance tracking.


Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, influencing decision-makers and driving outcomes.
  • A natural team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Adept at analysing large datasets, extracting actionable insights, and presenting them clearly to senior executives and management teams.
  • Demonstrated capability to challenge the status quo, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements that drive operational excellence.
  • Experience working within the retail sector or within a multi-site business, is a distinct advantage.
