Senior Proposal Manager

A global law firm, is seeking a Senior Proposal Manager to join their UK-based Global Proposal Team. This firm is known for its commitment to breaking traditional boundaries in the legal sector and for fostering an environment that champions curiosity and forward-thinking approaches.

In this pivotal role, the Senior Proposal Manager will act as the primary contact and project lead for high-stakes RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, managing complex, multi-regional opportunities across the UK and EMEA. Working closely with business development teams across Litigation, Corporate & Finance Transactions, and Real Estate practices, you’ll implement best practices for proposal processes, develop standardized content for responses, and coordinate a seamless workflow from initial assessment to post-project review.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the proposal lifecycle, including strategy development, team coordination, and timeline management.
• Drafting executive summaries and tailoring practice materials to articulate the firm’s unique strengths and value.
• Conducting business assessments to determine project viability and present recommendations.
• Working alongside Business Development Managers and lead lawyers to develop competitive fee proposals and ensure alignment with client expectations.
• Managing database updates, tracking proposal outcomes, and implementing improvements for a more efficient proposal process.

Experience:

• A proven background in managing high-pressure proposals within professional services, with expertise in RFPs and a history of engaging senior leadership effectively.
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills, with a knack for distilling complex information into clear, impactful language.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and relevant digital platforms (Dynamics experience is advantageous).
