Position: Quantity Suerveyor – Civil Engineering and Groundworks

Location: North West

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

About the role:

As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a crucial role in managing project costs and adhere to the highest standards. Your expertise will guide us from initial estimates through to final acquisition of materials and completion of a project. The role involves managing project costs, prepareddetailed estimates, overseeing budgets, developing tender documents, negotiating contracts, and ensuring adherence to legal standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage project costs from inception to completion.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Oversee project budgets and ensure financial constraints are met.
• Develop and prepare bills of quantities and tender documents.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors and suppliers.
• Track and analyse project expenses, providing regular reports.
• Assess the value of completed work for interim and final payments.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure projects adhere to legal and quality standards.
• Handle contractual disputes and claims.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years experience with a reputable Civil Engineering and Groundworks contractor.
• HNC Level 4 Qualification in Construction/Building or equivalent
