Boston Hale
React Front End Developer
Job Location
London, United Kingdom
Job Description
React Developer
The company I'm recruiting for are going through a large SharePoint redevelopment programme.
This was kicked off late last year to deliver a consolidated and stylistically consistent Intranet and SharePoint sites for the business.
They had over 300 sites in different styles
The aim of the programme is to build a coherent and on-brand SharePoint Intranet, with an emphasis on searchability and user experience.
They now move into the second phase, which includes creating the Base Template and multiple custom components that will allow the business to build their own sites in a consistent manner, but also deliver a stylish end product for the Intranet as a whole. They already have a designer prototyping and now need a React developer to join the team.
Core Requirements:
React Development - we need super-premium Dev, not just OK - but awesome
Strong Front end (not full-stack skills) with a strong understanding of UI / UX and usability principles
Excellent coding skills
The SharePoint environment you are working within is highly controlled, and so having someone with the ability to develop React custom components in framework governed environments (such as SFDC / SAP ERP / Custom CMS / Internal Platforms) would be really useful - this is not a greenfield React Application environment.
Accessibility - you must have a strong understanding of Accessibility (ideally WCAG 2.1 AA Standards) and be able to demonstrate this in interview through the projects you have delivered.
Do what you say you're going to do - and be Positive! The team is small and lovely, they want people that will go the extra mile, roll the sleeves up and help with whatever they can, not just whatever they want.
Working from office - Wednesday and 1 other day (usually Thursday) this is non-negotiable. Anyone that lives more than 1 hour from Liverpool St will not be selected as there is a tendency to struggle with the commute, and this time in the office is critical for the team / product's success.
This is a project that will run for 3 Months and if a success could roll for a further 3-6 months on spin off projects
Diversity, equity and inclusion are at the heart of what we value as an organisation. Boston Hale is an equal opportunities employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other status protected by law
