Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer - C/C++

Location : Ahmedabad Experience : 7-9 Years Education : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Technical Skills : Essential : - Proven experience in developing and maintaining embedded firmware for complex systems - Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming with a strong understanding of memory management and resource constraints - In-depth knowledge of microcontroller (MCU) architectures from Atmel, Microchip, or similar vendors - Experience with embedded development environments (IDE) like IAR, Keil, or Eclipse - Solid understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and their application in embedded systems (e.g, FreeRTOS, VxWorks) - Experience with internet-of-things (IoT) communication protocols (e.g, GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MQTT) - Ability to write efficient and optimized code for performance and power consumption Highly Preferred : - Experience with embedded Linux development - Understanding of security best practices for embedded systems and firmware update mechanisms - Familiarity with hardware debugging tools (e.g, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers) - Experience with version control systems (e.g, Git) - Strong communication and collaboration skills Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and debug embedded firmware for various electronic devices - Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components - Implement communication protocols for data exchange between embedded devices and external systems - Optimize firmware for performance, power consumption, and memory usage - Perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and system integration - Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining a high code quality standard - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in embedded systems (ref:hirist.tech)
