Linux BSP Engineer - Embedded System

Responsibilities : Embedded Software Development : - Develop and maintain device drivers for various hardware components within embedded systems. - Participate in the porting and bring-up process of Board Support Packages (BSPs) and bootloaders. - Develop low-level system software functionalities to support camera product features. - Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware components. Linux Kernel Expertise : - Possess a strong understanding of Linux operating system concepts and internal workings. - Experience in customizing and building Linux kernels for embedded systems. - Utilize debugging tools and techniques to diagnose and resolve complex software issues within the Linux kernel. Device Driver Development : - Design, develop, and integrate device drivers for various hardware peripherals (e.g, camera sensors, audio codecs, network interfaces). - Ensure efficient and reliable communication between hardware and software components. Media Framework Experience (Preferred) : - Familiarity with media frameworks like FFmpeg, OpenCV, GStreamer for processing and manipulating multimedia data within the embedded system. - Experience in developing media pipelines for handling captured video and audio streams. Additional Skills & Experience : - Experience working on embedded systems based on Qualcomm, Nvidia, Ambarella, Ingenic, Sigmastar, TI, or NXP platforms (a plus). - Familiarity with audio/video streaming protocols (e.g , RTSP, WebRTC) is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. - Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills (Required) : - Excellent proficiency in Embedded C/C++. - Experience with Embedded Linux application development. - Strong understanding of Linux OS concepts and kernel development. - Experience in device driver development and integration. - Strong debugging skills with experience using relevant tools and techniques (ref:hirist.tech)
