PHP Developer - Web Applications

Overview : The PHP Developer plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of web applications, ensuring seamless functionality and an enjoyable user experience. They are responsible for writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code to meet the project requirements. Key responsibilities : - Develop, test, and deploy web applications using PHP and other relevant technologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Optimize and maintain existing systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. - Create and maintain databases to support web applications and platforms. - Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices. - Troubleshoot and debug applications to enhance efficiency and performance. - Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to enrich development strategies. - Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team. - Provide support and training to internal teams and stakeholders on developed applications. - Collaborate with designers to implement visually appealing designs and responsive interfaces. Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Proven work experience as a PHP Developer or similar role. - Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX. - Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and at least one PHP framework (e.g, Laravel, CodeIgniter). - Experience with version control systems such as Git. - Solid understanding of MVC design patterns and object-oriented programming. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality, scalable solutions. - Knowledge of web security best practices and experience implementing them in projects. - Experience with third-party APIs and web services integration. - Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous integration workflows. - Good understanding of user experience and responsive design principles. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
