Network Engineer - Routing & Switching

The Role : Incubex is seeking a motivated and skilled Network Engineer to join our growing team in Bangalore, India. You will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal network performance and security. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate IT professional with 3-4 years of experience to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities : - Participate in network design and implementation projects. - Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points). - Manage and maintain network infrastructure for optimal performance and availability. - Configure and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) - Knowledge of pfSense a plus - Provide network support for various operating systems. - Maintain network documentation and user permissions. - Monitor network performance and identify potential issues. - Implement and manage disaster recovery and backup solutions. - Evaluate and recommend network security improvements and system upgrades. - Create and maintain technical documentation for network systems and configurations. Required Skills & Experience : - 3-4 years of experience in network or a related IT field. - Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and routing principles. - Hands-on experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points). - Familiarity with network security concepts and best practices. - Experience with network troubleshooting methodologies and tools. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills & Experience : - Experience with network automation tools (e., Python, Bash scripting). - Experience with cloud-based network solutions (a plus). - Knowledge of network management platforms (NMS). - Certifications in network (e., CCNA, CCNP) or security (e., Security). Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (ref:hirist.tech)
