We are looking for a Propulsion Engineer to join our team in Italy. You will become part of a growing Spacecraft Propulsion group. Within this team, you will contribute to the definition and improvement of the propulsion components design. The activities will range from the specification definition up to AIV activities and will include the execution of tests and technical interactions with suppliers. Key Responsibilities: Follow the design and development of chemical thruster. Management of technical coordination between multiple suppliers. Regularly reporting to the Head of Propulsion and Lead Platform Engineer. Definition of requirements. Support for CFD and STR analyses. Support for engine propulsion AIV activities. Qualifications and Requirements: Experience in propulsion test planning and execution. Experience with fluidic, pressurized test equipment. Experience with safety-related issues of propulsive/pressurized development and testing, also involving hazardous materials such as flammable gasses and oxidizers. Analytical and modelling skills with EcosimPro/RPA. Experience in CFD software. Experience with CAD modelling software. Knowledge of combustion and cooling methodologies. Previous knowledge in acquisition systems and data processing. Deep understanding of the functioning of green chemical propulsion system, and of the disciplines involved. Previous experience with small thruster development. Strong familiarity with ECSS standards. Knowledge of programming languages (Python, C, Matlab, others); Preferential Skills: Previous experience with Nitrous Oxide Previous experience with Self-pressurized fluids Previous experience with Additive manufacturing. Education: Master's degree in aerospace engineering is required. PhD in related field is a strong asset. Professional Experience: Required experience: 2-5y in chemical propulsion field.
