The Opportunity:

If you are either an experienced Process Chemist, Industrial Chemist or Chemistrygraduate, then this could be the perfect role for you. This position will involve working in a Chemical Laboratory and is aLate Shift position, workingTuesday to Friday 12 Noon to 10.30pm on each of those 4 evenings. (This attracts a shift premium of £28pcm and the salary rises to £29K plus a company bonus after 6 months).

The Role

• This vacancy is a great opportunity for you to progress in a busy, hands on laboratory and factory setting.
  Working in a well-established, award winning facility as part of a small Chemistry team on thelate shift, working a 4 day week but earning a full time salary.
• The successful candidate will assist the Senior Process Chemist in the analyses, control and maintenance of all wet processes/chemistry and assist in the running of the water and chemical waste treatment.
• Control and troubleshooting of all wet processes (Chemistry)
• Involved in the installation and commission of new equipment and processes
• Maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with maintenance schedule
• Ensure that water and chemical waste treatment controls are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
• Use of documentation control systems paper and electronic

What you will bring to the Team:

• Preferably 2+ years of experience in a Chemists role.
• Logical thinking and a good application of the scientific method.
• A degree in Chemical Engineering or another Chemistry based qualification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent data and statistical analysis skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of detail.
• Good understanding of technical documentation.
• The ability to work unsupervised in a Night Shift role.

Benefits:

• The starting salary is £27,552. After 6 months and subject to meeting the required performance criteria their salary will increase to £29,232.
• Quarterly Company bonus scheme can be up to 12% of your salary!
