Job Title: Infrastructure Manager
Salary: £125,000 Per Annum + Bonus
Job Type: Permanent
Location: London, hybrid

An Infrastructure Manager is required for a leading financial services business with offices in London and Wales. The successful candidate will lead the team through a generational IT transformation. This role is pivotal with a blend of Operational leadership across the engineers whilst the business transition from an on-premises to a cloud environment, specifically Azure.

You will lead a team of 14 Engineers, including permanent and external resources, across networking, operations and platform. Your primary focus will be on establishing a structured line management process and developing a cohesive team culture. While you will not be hands-on technically, your deep high level understanding of Windows Infrastructure and Azure cloud services will be essential. The team is currently distributed across two locations, therefore you will be required to lead and manage remote team members and driving them towards a unified goal.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 14, ensuring alignment with the company's cloud strategy.
  • Implement and enforce a structured line management process.
  • Guide the team through the transition to a fully Windows and Azure environment.
  • Manage third-party vendors and contractors effectively.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Ensure the team is motivated and aligned with the company's goals.


Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency in Windows environments, with some legacy Linux knowledge.
  • Experience with data centre management and Azure cloud services.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and firewall configurations.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team through significant change.
  • Hands on experience with infrastructure automation tools, particularly Terraform.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Good knowledge and hands on experience of VMware.
