JOB – Quality Engineer
LOCATION - Dorset
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- Up to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
A great company, the UK’s largest in their field, is looking to bring on a Quality Engineer to come and join their team. The ideal candidate will champion product & process quality whilst providing support to Manufacturing facility to help achieve quality objectives and reduce COPQ.
The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
A Quality/Engineering or similar Degree / HNC / NVQ or equivalent work based experience.
Experience and knowledge of Lean measurement tools such as 8D, 5Why’s, Ishikawa, DMAIC, Internal Auditing etc.
Knowledge or experience in with PPAP, ISIR and Supplier Quality Assessments
Ability to use own initiative and work as a team when needed.
Relevant experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment would be beneficial but not essential.
Proficient with use of Microsoft packages
Full Driving License The Quality Engineer role will involve:
Carry out Root Cause Analysis and report activities.
Use of PPAP and coordinating the completion within the business.
Review how effective supplier corrective actions are and support the relevant team in the analysis of Quality Inspection.
Provide support in key NPI projects whilst ensuring Quality conformance.
Carry out supplier Quality improvement activities.
Continually look for ways to improve processes and procedures to attain the greatest levels of quality and efficiency (continuous improvement).
Ensure that ISO9001 requirements are being met across the business.
Facilitate the successful completion of the internal auditing programme.
Reduce the cost of poor Quality and meet the Quality standards by providing support within the Manufacturing facility.
