Hamilton Woods is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner with a background in the public sector for a rewarding 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position at a well-established organization.
Responsibilities:
Take the lead in assisting budget holders with translating their strategic and operational objectives into actionable budgets that support accurate financial forecasting.
Deliver accurate, relevant, and timely corporate reports that effectively track financial targets, customized to suit various stakeholders' needs.
Oversee a high-performing business partnering team.
Establish streamlined processes that optimize automation opportunities through the strategic use of business systems and technology.
Provide support to the broader finance team in achieving both strategic and day-to-day goals.
Act as a representative of the finance team on broader corporate initiatives as needed.Role requirements:
A recognized professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience (QBE).
Proven experience in a senior-level finance role, including oversight of corporate reporting and its ongoing improvement.
Demonstrated ability to work closely with budget holders and departments across the organization to create reliable budgets and reforecasts.
Background in team leadership or supervision.
Solid understanding of financial principles, including regulatory, legal, and operational considerations.
Strong communication skills.
