M&E Contracts Manager

Job Description
An M&E Contractor, with a focus on resi and commercial projects valued between £5m - £20m, is looking to hire an M&E Contracts Manager to service their growing project portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts for M&E projects, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
* Manage contract variations, extensions, and claims.
* Ensure that contract documentation, including schedules, quality control procedures, and safety standards, are followed.
* Act as the main point of contact between the client, subcontractors, and the internal project team.
* Monitor the progress of M&E projects, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
* Oversee project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and in line with contract specifications.
* Provide regular financial reports and forecasts, including cost estimates and variances.
* Attend meetings with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to discuss project progress, challenges, and opportunities.
* Ensure clear and timely communication between all parties involved.
* Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to contract specifications.
Required Skills and Attributes:
* At least 5 years of experience in M&E contract management or project management in the construction or engineering industry.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
* Experience in managing large-scale M&E projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
* Knowledge of contract law and experience in preparing and negotiating contracts.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
