Commercial Director - Career Opportunity / Regional Contractor
• Up to £125,000 + package

The residential division of a renowned construction group, will be looking for a new Commercial Director to join the business by the end of the year.
This fantastic opportunity would see you joining a professional and non-bureaucratic business with sound ambitions to grow the residential division to complement the other parts of the group.
As Commercial Director, you would have the full range of commercial responsibilities including:
• Tenders and Bid presentations,
• Identifying and delivering value engineering opportunities,
• Negotiating and agreeing Main Contracts, Sub-Contracts, Bonds and Warranties both up and down the line.
• Preparing and agreeing Cost Plans,
• Establishing and implementing procurement budgets and supply chain strategies
• Procuring sub-contractors, suppliers and professionals.
• Administering valuations and payments
• Change control and final accounts,
• Cost v value reporting, turnover and cash flow forecasting.
• Managing a team of up to 15 surveyors
Should you wish to be considered for this role, ideally your experience will include the following:
• A minimum of 10 years' experience as a head of a commercial / surveying department, preferably with both a tier 1/2 contractor and SME.
• Possess good all round people management skills.
• Hold a professional surveying qualifications such as BSc Quantity Surveying, MCIOB etc.
• Possess experience within the residential sector of projects valued between £5m - £50m.
• Stable employment history
• Familiar with JCT, NEC and traditional forms of contract.
