Job Description
Our highly successful manufacturing company is investing heavily in their site and has exciting plans for growth. They have established a manufacturing engineering team and due to the impact they have made across the business they are looking to hire an additional manufacturing engineer to support new product development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
* Generate and update all manufacturing documentation, i.e., SOPs, Product specifications (SOPs, Risk Assessments, Qualification Plans, etc), BOM’s, AutoCAD drawings, etc.
* To ensure Manufacturing Quality standards are achieved meeting specifications across all manufacturing processes, reducing variability in manufacturing by providing standard documentation.
* Responsible for line design / layout, tooling, capacity analysis, and process qualification
* To be the Mechanical Lead for all New Product Introduction (NPI) projects across the business.
* To develop and lead the site continuous improvement activities using Lean Principles.
* To provide Mechanical support and lead all cost reduction, process improvement and manufacturing efficiency projects by identifying and reducing waste in the process.
* To investigate production and process issues by providing technical support and Root Cause Analysis.
* To support the installation of new machinery and equipment into the manufacturing processes, including training support.
* Provide status reports and updates at project reviews / meetings.
