Area Lead Engineer

A famous UK automotive brand, with a history of designing and manufacturing a range of competitive, on and off-road, high speed and performance based motor vehicles, is hiring for new talent within their formidable design team.

This is a business with a rich history of bold design, original styling and engineering with purpose. The design function consists of project teams who shape, design and develop iconic motor vehicles, where Engineers are hired to utilise all their expertise across various components in chassis and powertrain functions.

As an Area Lead Engineer, you will manage a small team, working across packages or areas of the vehicle, coordinating development against time, cost and potential setback considerations.

The role will be highly technical, focused on detail and delivery, planning and leadership. You will demonstrate good commercial awareness and understand design consequences on all areas of the business.

We are seeking agile and flexible design specialists that have an automotive background and apply a technical approach, with judgement and decision making at the highest level.
