We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. If you have a passion for design innovation and want to work on mechanical projects for global customers, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform design work on customer and development projects.
* Collaborate with a cross-functional design team to deliver coordinated solutions.
* Attend project meetings and provide expert advice on mechanical design and technical aspects.
* Take ownership of mechanical design from concept through to assembly, ensuring it meets both functional and cost targets.
* Provide technical support to assembly and commissioning teams.
* Ensure compliance with UK and European safety legislation, including conducting risk assessments.
* Travel occasionally for UK and international project meetings.
Experience Required:
* 5-10 years’ experience in electro-mechanical design.
* Proficiency in 3D modelling (SolidWorks) and 2D drawings.
* Experience in design for manufacturing, meeting cost objectives, and performing engineering calculations.
* Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Integrated)
