Job Description
Prime Appointments are currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a fast growing precision engineering company based in Chelmsford. This company specialises within the aerospace, defence and marine sectors
The successful candidate will possess strong experience in using fanuc controls and will be hands-on in programming and operating CNC machines. They will work closely with engineering drawings to produce high-precision components, ensuring the quality and accuracy of both one-off parts and small batch production.
As a CNC Turner you will be required to:
Programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components.
Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints.
Select appropriate tooling and ensure optimal machine setup.
Conduct quality checks to ensure components meet specifications and tolerances.
Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure smooth operation.
Adhering to health and safety standards in the workplace.
Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and client requirements.Skills required:
Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment.
Proficiency in programming and operating CNC turning machines (experience with [specific software or machines, e.g., Fanuc, Mazak] is advantageous).
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.
