Job Description
Contek Recruitment are currently working with a well-known, established precision engineering and toolmaking company, based in Mansfield. Due to company performance and growth, they are now looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (08:00am until 15:15pm)
Pay: £17-20 per hour, dependent on experience. This works out to around £34k-£40k per year.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Effective operation of CNC Millers and CAM software
* Produce jigs and fixtures to aid production cells throught the business
* To work from engineering drawings to produce and/or modify injection mould tools
* To work from engineering drawings and requests to supply parts of a suitable quality and functionality to satisfy project manufacture of trial and conceptual development components.
* Effective operation if required of manual machines such as millers, lathes and surface grinders in the role of benchman
* Effective operation if required of EDM CNC Wire Eroders, Spark Eroders and Fast Hole drilling machines
* To identify tooling requirements
* To function test, evaluate and document all component trials and development.
* Identify and solve Mechanical/Manufacturing issues in the current product range in conjunction with Inspection and Design departments, as required
* General Knowledge of Injection Moulding
* To have an understanding of the Works Order administration system
* To carry out routine maintenance, housekeeping duties
Requirements:
* Deliver best practice during the manufacture and delivery of quality, checked components, applying attention to detail to all items
* To be prepared to undergo appropriate training as required
* Adherence to the company’s Health and Safety policy
* To give advice and guidance to apprentices as required
