Job Description
Aqua Tech is recruiting for our client, a leading provider of biomass boiler systems in the UK's Building Services sector. Our client offers a comprehensive operation and maintenance package for all the systems they provide. They currently have a team of service and maintenance engineers covering biomass installations throughout the UK and are looking to expand this team by recruiting an additional full-time Biomass Service Engineer.
Role Overview
The Biomass Service Engineer will be required to carry out operation and maintenance tasks on completed biomass boiler projects. The successful candidate will be based in Inverness but will typically travel to various sites from their home location on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to reactive callouts for time-critical breakdowns, including out-of-hours support for biomass, mechanical, and electrical faults.
* Provide improvement suggestions for installed plant and submit detailed reports.
* Service biomass boilers and submit related reports.
* Collaborate effectively with site and office-based engineers.
* Complete field reports using a tablet device.
* Maintain a high level of site cleanliness.
* Perform additional tasks as required by management.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Essential Criteria:
* Proven engineering experience with the ability to carry out service, maintenance, and repair tasks on completed biomass boiler projects.
* Previous experience in the service and commissioning of biomass boilers.
* Full, valid driving license.
Desired Criteria:
* Mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience.
* Experience in the commercial plumbing and heating industry.
